Cobbler is to die for! i recently had the pleasure of eating lunch at the poodle dog. The lunch was very good, then we decided on desert. The wait staff suggested the home made cobbler to us. They told us that the baker had been baking for them for fifty years. We got the strawberry rhubarb cobbler-it came pre made in a warm bowl with ice cream-it was the BEST we have ever had! Stay away from this place! I ate here with my family on July 4th for lunch. I may have been able to look past the slow, almost non-existent service and generally dingy overall condition of this place had the food been even halfway decent. That was simply not the case. My daughter ordered spaghetti with a side of parmesan cheese. The little cup of shredded parmesan had a piece of breakfast sausage in it! It was just gross! If you are looking for a nostalgia experience in Fife this is the place to go. It's been there for years and years, and everyone enjoys their visit to this old fashioned home town restaurant. The food is solid and the prices are reasonable.
Poodle Dog Restaurant is a cozy restaurant I went to the Poodle Dog for a meeting today for the first time. I was surprise to find out that the food was really good. The service was okay, but the place was nice and clean and I plan to visit there again in the near future.
Poodle Dog Restaurant Located in Fife, WA I normally have the chicken fried steak, which is great. I also love the hamburgers. I have been around long enough to recall using the Poodle Dog Restaurant as our local land mark. Which is at the main crossings for I-5. Poodle Dog Restaurant is JUST GROSS! This is a dirty, greasy spoon with the worst service in the Sound. Period. Don't waste your money or time. This dirty Dog is well past its Day and the employees appear to hate thier job. It's not just ORIGINAL, it's DINGY!
Bob's lame, this place rocks! My family has been coming here for years. Great home style food, the peanut butter pie is awesome! If you don't have a stick up your you-know-what (like Bob H.) the environment of the restaurant is just great. It's not supposed to be ultra-posh, It's an old 1930's diner, it's not "dingy" at all (as Bob suggested). It's original!!!!
In poor taste I recently witnessed, in the late morning, the lowering of the tattered US Flag, by an employee of the Poodle Dog. He replaced it with a new one. However, he took the old flag, to the dumpster, and just threw it in. Then proceeded to throw garbage on top of it. When I called the manager, on duty, she just laughed at the matter. Not so good My husband was told the Poodle Dog had great food. I would say I can cook anything much better. I am 26 years old I was so taken a back by the way the waitress ignored me and my 2 year old son only speaking to my Husband and at the end of our meal leaning over exposing cleavage and putting my Husband to go box in his hands not on the table.
