Never had a problem in 2 years I have been taking my dog there for about 2 years and have nothing bad to say. My dog likes the place, he goes 3 days a week and is excited to go. Poochie has been go to me and my dog.
Zeke LOVES Poochies!!! I've been taking my dog to Poochies Playhouse for a few years now and he LOVES going there. Before taking him I read several reviews, especially the "low rated" ones but decided to check it out myself.... and I'm glad I did. When I take him (Zeke) to daycare, he starts getting really excited once we turn into the parking lot and has me running to the door of Poochies as quickly as he can drag me. It is not safe or sanitary. I go to the shopping center often. I was wondering what the store had to offer. Pretty much everything was provided. The best part that they provide are rodents. Nice, I saw it running along a wall... Save yourself and your best friend, take him or her to a better maintained facility!
Gross Three pictures isn't enough, they should show pictures of their whole store. holes in walls, poor flooring in play rooms, toys torn up, some with pee on them. My girlfriend and I could go on but we recommend to others: do some research instead of finding the closest place for your family pet, it's worth the time and effort to find a proper and well-managed daycare for your furry loved one. Even the dog didn't like it. I bought a package and was sorry I did. They charged me for missing days when I had told them the week before that I wouldn't be bringing my dog in. The place is not clean (as others have pointed out) and I don't think they treat the dogs very well. My dog would pull away when I tried to get him through the door. Now we go to Dogtopia and we both couldn't be happier!
Great Place!!!! I take my dog Clio there 3 times a week. Everyone that works there is fantastic. They take excellent care of the dogs in their care. I also board her there and have never had a problem. Kudos to the owner and her staff. I would recommend them highly. She's very well adjusted thanks to them.
Pathetic I have stopped bringing my dog to Poochie. the owner is quite arrogant, the workers (I hate to call them that but that's how they're treated.) Not respected employees, for as much warmth and kindness they display, they deserve to have a manager actually do something work related rather than sit and watch. I've always shown respect and paid on time, there. Rumor has it the managers have their favorite customers. Every customer should be treated with equal respect and courtesy, sorry, no favorites w/ the most money.
Concerns about previous reviews????? I have just recently moved into the Alexandria area and am researching a place to take my 2 dogs. I have read all of the reviews on this business and it concerns me that a lot of the posts are from August 2009 and most all the posts with the exception of a couple are from the year 2009. Recommend not to go Go to Dogtopia. I've switched from this business to them. Better staff, good service and better prices.
