DO NOT MOVE IN!!!!! – I moved into The Pointe at Harden Ranch in June of 2009 and it was the worst decision I have ever made. At first the staff was very nice and friendly, but not for long. I moved from Sacramento and only had 2 days to do all my moving. I saw an apartment about 2 weeks earlier and was told that I would get one just like it but without updated cabinets. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! – There are SO many reasons not to live here. Just a few: 1. A staff that consistently blames others for their mistakes. Case in point: not being able to pay online through "computer error," yet requiring ALL tenants to do so; notices constantly put on our door accusing us of various things (putting tarps on our balcony, graffiti in the pool area, parking, late payments) that had nothing to do with us (a "new girl" put up the notices). HORRIBLE – This place is horrible I am so excited to be done with the tranquil shithole. Do not live here. I wish I would have read the reviews before moving in. The only nice people were the grounds people. The front desk ladies are so rude and disgusting. I guess I would hate my life too if I worked here. It must be in there job description to be a bitch all the time. I hate this place!
Worst place ever – Me and my wife moved in almost 5 years ago. When we first moved in they had a great manager, but he said when he leaves expect trouble. Well shortly afterwards he did leave, and boy was there trouble. Not once did they contact us about replacing the carpet, as stated by law. Police were almost a permnant fixture. And if we were a day late with the rent, they did not call. They came banging on the door. And when we ask why they did not call they would say "Oh you have not given us the phone number." Absolutely atrocious! – I'm a professional who moved to the area about 9 months ago. I thought I would save some money by living in Salinas and this place looked great when I first visited. My lease is about to expire and I cannot wait to move. The police were outside again tonight breaking up yet another fight. Somebody else called them tonight but I have called them 3 times in the past 2 months for fights and suspicious activity. Horrible Managment, Unwilling to meet with Renter – This has been the worst rental experience of my life. -Maintenance people entered our apartment MULTIPLE times, without any warning nor without our consent. -Rental Agents are slow to help, with the exception of signing a new contract. -Multiple "improvements" were done to the building without any notice, i.e. loud power washers, painters, roofers. -Agents seem to take complaints personally and respond in a rude manner. -Charged us a $100 cleaning fee after we moved out.
