PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE!! The staff is never helpful and always say that they will fix something, but it doesn’t happen! I have lived here for two years and will be so happy to be moving out in July. The appliances are old and they only patch them up instead of actually getting new equipment or fix them completely. My air has went out twice ( once at night) and the so called “24 hour maintenance” that they have did not come do anything about it til the next evening! Horrible workers in office. I’ve had so many problems living here and I cannot wait to move out. The apartments itself have just gone down but they’re raising rent like the apt is worth it. Find you somewhere better. You get what you pay for. My apt constantly smells of weed and I don’t smoke! Police are always here and they don’t care about you or apt. My dishwasher has been out forever and there’s no point of me hanging anything on the wall with the cheap cheap paint they use. They won’t even replace a light bulb for me, w... read more

RecommendedI've lived here for almost a year, and I could not be happier. The office managers are two of the nicest ladies (Hi, Liz! Hi Summer!) and they always have time for me. The maintenance men are awesome (Darrell and Chadly) - so nice and helpful --- they even built a ramp for my hover-round. I've not had any issues with appliances... my faucet stem did break (no flooding!) but it was fixed within 15 minutes after I called them. The neighbors are nice, too. DO NOT MOVE THERE! They will say you're getting your deposit once they check your apartment before moving out and then turn around and say you owe them money! BAD BUSINESS!!
Apartments are garbage, and the people over these apartments are liars!! Moved into the apartment with a poor condition then get charged for what they didn't do after I leave!! Do not stay here!!
If i could give negative stars i would. After i scrubbed and bleached the entire place upon moving out, i received a letter in the mail charging us nearly $600. which include a $400 painting fee. The apartment complex smelled of marijuana 24/7. Cops are called regularly for people fighting in the parking lot. We could hear nearly everything our neighbors did. None of the drainage worked correctly. These were the worst places I have ever lived in.
I recommend Point O Wood for any students or adults that's planning to attend USM or move to Hattisburg. Please go there for an apartment. The place was quiet and very safe. I give this place a 5 star. My son told me it was to quiet, which was a perfect for him. Please try Point O Wood its one of the nicest and cleanest apartments in that area.
DON'T BOOK AT THESE APARTMENTS. Watch out - these people are liars. They told my son they had an apartment and would hold if for him pending receipt of the application fee and security deposit. He filled out the application form the same day, sent in a $35 application fee, and a $350 security deposit only to find they had given his apartment to someone else.
