Great job rehabing wildlife and releasing them back into the wild. If they can't thrive in the wild, they get care there for life.
I took a baby sparrow that had fallen from a nest that was unreachable to them. It had fallen 15 feet onto a concrete surface so internal injuries were also a concern. The drive up was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. I love that I can email and get an update on the little guy/girl. Totally worth checking out and giving a donation.
They pick and choose who/what they want to help. Should be helping all the animals.
My experience is just a big thank you. Your posts about fawns and how they are left alone to avoid attention during the day educated me so I knew exactly what NOT to do when I startled one in my garden this season. Instead I have enjoyed knowing I have a deer daycare out in the garden for a couple weeks and have stayed clear. Very grateful for the information.

I understand the frustration of caring for wildlife but the one lady (not sure of her name) is pretty scummy. my mother just dropped off a baby fawn and whoever took the baby from mom made my mother cry. there is no reason to treat people trying to do the right thing like that. I had the same thing happen when I dropped off 2 baby raccoons. they make you feel like you're a bad person for trying to help an animal in need. and big deal the fawn was out of the box? it has legs and can move and get out of boxes. my mother is baw... read more
