I called PNC to dispute a charge on my account. The customer service agent, *****, explained her understanding of the charge, which I did not agree with. I wanted to speak with someone above her, and asked to either escalate or dispute the issue or both. She interrupted me multiple times, insulted my intelligence multiple times by questioning why "I couldn't understand," argued with me about escalating or disputing the issue, and then eventually put me on hold for about 5-7 minutes without processing anything I requested. Horrible customer service and a ton of hidden fees that take money from your account and conveniently, they don't notify that they keep taking money from you. They took $80 from my account and the customer service agent was "able to" return $13 to me.I'm closing my account ASAP. I'll put my money in my mattress before banking with PNC.

Horrible company, ever since they bought out BBV its been nothing but a nightmare. I just want to be able to use the automated online payment to make a car payment but it never works. I have to spend at least 2 hours getting it paid every single month by calling customer service. They can't give you a working PIN number over the phone so they say they will mail me one every month and the PIN never work. They won't let you set up auto pay over the phone even though they have my checking acct #. They direct you to their websit... read more

Reported them to the state b/c I have no way to deposit a check. They won't help me, nor call back. I've been a good customer for many, many years!

I received a credit notification about a bank account opened in my name with PNC bank.I contacted them and they told me it would be put under review. I then filed an identity fraud report with the federal government, and a local police report.I called them back that night, and the employee said they didnt see any review pending.I called back about a week later seeking an address to send in the documentation and letter the government told me to send in.The fraud specialist told me there was no address that I could use. I am leaving 1 star because BBB won't allow you to leave it blank. When I first opened my account in 2017, PNC was great. Recently, however, they have become terrible. Cash deposits pending for a minimum of 24 hours, debits skipping pending and being posted after 3 days, and online utility payments sitting in pending for a least 3 days.

So disappointed. Probably the worst bank I have ever worked with. I had several business accounts with them and they literally cost me thousands of dollars during a business transaction promising things that could never have gone through from the beginning. AVOID! They are getting too big and have not desire for good customer service.

WORST BANK EVER - the hidden fees and stupid rules that end up costing you time and money are ridiculous. You should be able to handle your banking 100% online, but it is impossible to find certain services then sit on hold on the phone forever only to find out some ridiculous rule that does not allow you to do what you'd like with your accounts. STAY AWAY

We applied for a HELOC and went through most of the process until they disclosed to us we were getting an introductory rate and we were required to open a PNC checking account to keep that rate with a 0.25% rate discount. We accepted this even though you must keep a minimum of $500 in your checking account, otherwise incurring a $7 a month fee.
