Being an East Texan and having to bring our son to Vibra Hospital in Houston Tx was a bit scary until we met Mr. George, Respiratory Therapist with so much laughter and perfect with encouragement the patients. My son has down days often, but when Mr. George come into his room he has something to look forward to besides his health, ITS JOY, LAUGHTER AND GOOD SPIRIT. Staff have been very compassionate and caring. They have been doing a great job communicating changes and care. They are very understanding of the individuals and family involved in her care. They are very supportive regarding allowing family to make the best decisions regarding their loved one.
If only you understood our journey. My loved one had a major stroke in two spots in her brain. The very next day after her major stroke she was able to follow commands. After a care opportunity at another facility she dropped her BP losing perfusion to her brain and lost the ability to follow commands. Although I know her journey is not over. I have a family member in this hospital and some of the nurses are rude, tries to tell you about your own family member and they aren’t in it for the love of the patient. They sit around on their cell phones while patients are needing help. The doctors are great but they don’t have much to work with when it comes to to the nursing staff. There needs to be some diversity. The nurses needs some serious training.
