It's gotten better. I moved here in 2010 when it was infested with crime, guns and gangs. This is all changed rather suddenly when two horrific events happened. One- a shot was fired at someone who was standing in front of a unit on Laguna St. The bullet missed the intended target and instead went right through the building and hit an 11 year old girl while she was in her bed. 10 years living here. Lots of death violence, broken down units ,no heat , lots of rodents, lots of bugs , slum landlords , horrible management , overflowing trash , large rodents in garbage rooms , embezzlement , electronic problems in the units ,flooding units, none working appliances , discrimination ect. Only thing there great at is collecting rent.
