Nice place, very good service but the reason for 1 star for food is because they are ripping peoples off. The dish "carne assada", that they offer as a ribeye on the menu, but what they bring to me is not a ribeye. Im 100% sure that is not a ribeye. Maybe was a beef knuckle. Much more cheap than a ribeye
We just tried Plaza Azteca for the first time, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in Sioux Falls. The margaritas were good, but the prices can get steep for just a drink. Unfortunately, that was probably the highlight of the meal. The entire time we were eating, we were bombarded with flies and gnats, which made the experience extremely unpleasant. We ordered a quesadilla and the birria torta for our main courses. Food was below par. Salsa felt like it was store bought and not house. Service was great. Prices were reasonable. Place was very noisy and seating was uncomfortable.
The choice to eat here started out randomly ( burgers...chinese...mexican). We decided on Mexican and selected Plaza Azteca due to its proximity to our hotel. All I can say is Wow. I chose the Burrito Pastor and my wife selected the Chimichangas Texanas Steak. Both meals were exceptionally great tasting. Entrées were generous and the sides of fried rice and refried beans were a great complement. This place will be a destination restaurant next time we get to Sioux Falls. Highly recommended.
Amazing food and service! I got the Laredo Grill. It was enough for two people! Highly recommend
