After four decades of Video Gaming a few things are clear to us: Arcade games must be played in their original format- joysticks, buttons, and a lo-rez tv screen in a big custom cabinet! Playing online has it's drawbacks, nothing beats playing against opponents sitting across the room. My husband and I were visiting from Canada and very much looking forward to going to your bar. We saved it for the last night of our trip, so that we were ending on a high note. One of the best bars in the area. A ton of games, arcade AND console, a gigantic beer selection, and an incredible staff! A must-go if you’re a gamer in Orlando!
I have been coming to Player 1 for years. It has a fun, nerdy atmosphere, a great selection of drinks including ciders, and friendly, fast bartenders. Easily one of the best places in Orlando to hang out.
Player 1 is a awesome place. I love the atmosphere and the people that work there are great. If you hadn’t gone I would recommend it highly.
Whether you’re looking for classic games, or craft beers, this is definitely a place that you must go to. We have become regulars, and this is definitely a great locals hangout. The staff is fantastic, and I must say that Micael and Tara are the best!! Can’t say enough good things about Player 1!!!
For the past three years, I've gone to Player 1 at least once a week, sometimes more. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and the bartenders make the best recommendations. The selection of games is fantastic, from vintage throwbacks to modern games; there's something for everyone!
The only reason I am giving this place a 1 is because the ladies behind the bar were super nice, funny and quick with drinks. We booked the 50$ package for my husbands 30th birthday. We check in with the lady in the front I start asking questions and she tells me she doesn’t know what goes on back there nor did she have the best manners when my husband was asking about the consoles and games. This place has been one of my favorite bars for years. The staff has always been courteous on my visits and checking to make sure I was getting home safe. They are a communal gathering point for all nerds and good people. We’ve been blessed with an arcade you can get delicious beers at and if that’s not enough for you: go back to regular arcades that were made for children, like you 🤷♂️
