Plato's Closet is not your typical secondhand clothing store. The gently used clothing and accessories that we buy are: top-name brands, cool, hip, trendy, clean and in good condition. Typically we buy items that have been in the retail stores within the past 12 to 18 months and are current teen and young adult styles still seen in the mall. We put cash in your pocket and offer cool stuff at great prices!

I called the store the day before to see what items they were accepting. They told me mostly spring and summer items. I get there today to sale my clothes back and they said their inventory wouldn’t allow them to sell back any of my items. I had multiple bags of new or gently used clothing from brands they accept. The staff was playing around the whole time and probably didn’t even go through my items. Never will sale or buy at this location again. I will stick with the Southaven location from now on. Thanks but no thanks.
They only take clothes w/ tags now. Affordable? I think not.

I used to shop there until I went with an old friend to sell his clothes. They told us they don't take "urban" brands and only accept brands such as Aeropostale, Old Navy and Banana Republic. I was very offended by that and never went back since. My friend had some very nice clothes that never been worn.

We will look into this and get it handled so this doesn't happen again. Remember we buy young teen, young adult causal clothes. We are unable to to buy anything formal or older then 18 months.
