I had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience at the Planet Fitness in Woodside, Queens. The manager was literally following me around the gym and repeatedly telling me that I couldn’t show my friend how to work out or explain how to use the equipment properly. Very disappointing experience. The general manager was extremely rude and she followed us around the gym, making us feel uncomfortable. Apparently, even getting advice from a fellow gym-goer can be considered “personal training.” Yet when we asked about using the gym’s own personal training services, we were told that no trainers were available. The way the situation was handled was unnecessarily confrontational and made the gym feel unwelcoming. I would recommend going elsewhere.

Really appreciate the friendly gym staff including Ron and Danny
Really appreciate how the gym staff is involved and very caring during my day to day workouts. Ron also gave me my tour for when I originally got my black card. He made sure that I knew all about the gym and its machines but also made sure to stay genuine and not lie or skip details. Danny who I met while using the pec deck taught me how to use proper form so I don’t tear my shoulder. I really appreciate all they do.
