I entered the gym wearing slides, and the general manager(I can’t remember his name, but he is on the shorter stature side; dark hair) informed me that the policy requires closed-toe shoes to work out. That policy is completely understandable. I returned to my car and came back wearing my closed-toe Ugg slides, which I believed would be acceptable. I have been dreading doing this review but it has to be said. I have been going to the Naugatuck location for about a year now and I am very disappointed and disgusted. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. I say both bathrooms because me and my husband both go. There is never been hot water to wash your hands since day I signed up and I am ok with that but the smell is atrocious to the point that you need a mask just to walk in. I have been a member for 5 years. When I tell you this place is disgusting, I mean it. I am not sure how to upload photos, but the female bathroom is absolutely gross. If you look at the base of the toilets, you can see that it has not been cleaned in the forever. Also, if you look in the tanning booth on the floor you will see lots of pubic hairs, dirt and grime. This is supposed to be health and fitness, and this is a downright, unhealthy, establishment.
