Planet Bombay looks to encapture the infectious spirit of Mumbai and its unrivaled melting pot status. The menu encompasses an amalgamation of flavors that represent cooking styles from across India. Start off with Chicken Tandoori and Kababs, fresh from the clay oven and served with rice and soup. Spice-infused curries like Chicken Tikka Masala and Paneer Makhani make a great pairing with traditional flat-bread naan on offer. Authentic Indian art dons the walls of the unassuming establishment, and the welcoming vibe and war... read more

Choose another Indian restaurant – The food was overpriced and underspiced; the sauces were clumsy and artless, containing cheap ingredients to stretch them, including an excessive amount of both salt and sugar. The chicken "cylon" consisted of six or seven small chunks of chicken hidden in a pile of coarsely sliced onions, and little or no coconut as was indicated on the menu. The Paneer Makhani tasted like it was made with ketchup. The nan was gummy and undercooked. My husband's glass of wine was the size of a shot glass. ... read more
mmmm there is a god!! – The food was sooo good! I HATED indian food until my sister dragged me into the quant little hole in the wall. Thank God I succumbed and ordered. I will definitly be back. Great location, especially after a little five points event! The service was very good. They made sure you were enjoying yourself and were at my beck and call with a smile. The bollywood tv was ..entertaining. It's a bit odd if you've never experienced it. 5 stars
Spice it up – We really enjoyed the food here, though the atmosphere was a little bit surreal (with the bollywood movie in the background); the food and great location really make up for it. I had the extremely spice Vindy Aloo and my boyfriend had the somwhat milder but very tasty Chicken Tikka Masala. I'll be trying a lot more from this menu!
Love this place! – I've never had a bad experience here and always impressed with the quality of food. Give it a try and you won't be disapointed!
Solid Indian fare – You won't find any surprises on Planet Bombay's menu, just a nice selection of Indian favorites. I'm really fond of the Vindaloo, and on cold winter nights it's really hard to beat the Mulligatawny stew for comfort food. Friendly, unobtrusive service makes this a really pleasant place to have a good meal.
Nothing special – I've never been impressed with Planet Bombay's food. While I've never had a horrible experience, most of the dishes I've tasted have flirted with blandness. If you're in Little Five Points and must have Indian food, Planet Bombay suffices, but don't expect anything special.
Decent Indian food, good prices – This isn't the best Indian food I've ever had, but I've never had a bad experience here and the prices are right. Tandoori dishes are a good choice, though the dhal is a bit too soupy. A good place for quick takeout, as well.
