They have gone above and beyond what the average auto repair shop does by giving us a ride back home, providing a loaner vehicle (at no charge) if the repair parts were not yet available, and always giving us a price quote, before the repair. I do not work for this company or have any relations to them, I am just a customer who can tell you that this repair shop is the only one I will ever go to as long as he stays in business. I was always the person who only trusted the dealer. But since being recommended Tom (mechanic) by the funeral director across the street, I will NEVER go back to the dealer! Plainfield Automotive charges a very fair price for ALL work done on my car. Now my parents even go there too! I have and will recommend going here for anything. Easily the best service I have ever received from a mechanic. The staff is amazingly friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure they can help you. I recommend them to everyone.
We have used Plainfield Automotive before. Pleasant and professional. Got quote and the finished bill was the quoted amount, how often does that happen. The bill was about $200.00 less than what the dealership and other shops quoted us. Work that we have had done in the past was done correctly with no problems after the work was done. I expect the same thing for the rear brakes that were just done. We trust and recommend them hands down.
Plainfield Automotive was advertising brake repair for $199. I needed my rear brakes replaced and I know the dealer would charge me about $400. I stopped in and told them to check my brakes. The mechanic told me my front brakes were still good but my rear brakes were metal to metal. He replaced the brakes and while he was test driving afterwards he found a badly worn control arm and ball joint assembly.
I have been coming to Plainfield Automotive for many years now. I love the friendly and professional service I receive from everyone.
