In an age where there are endless chains of auto repair shops that treat the customer like cattle and overcharge...it is refreshing to have a family-owned and operated neighborhood shop like Plainfield Auto! They have been in business over 10 years in the same location and Thomas (owner and lead mechanic) is very knowledgeable! My dad would always take his vehicles here, so naturally I do the same. He has been a life time customer and so am I!! I see no need to find another car repair shop, because there simply aren't any others that are better than Plainfield Auto. Their repairs are done honestly with care. They are swift and efficient and always respond and notify you on the dot. With great friendly receptionists and an experienced knowledgeable technicians, Plainfield Auto beats all else...and so does their prices!!!
I found them to be a very fair and reliable shop. It's a small family owned shop. They are very friendly and down to earth people. Delores (the wife) is supper friendly. After I went back the 2nd time she treated me like I've been a customer for years. They have lots of photos of their family in the office and their marquee sometimes displays Christian based messages which makes me feel better. Love these guys! Very proffesional family owned business. Very helpful. They did not only tell me what was wrong with my vehicle, but the mechanics took the time to explain and show me hands on what the problem was with my Toyota. That shows they really care. Awesome price and great receptionist!! Within a few days, I received a 'handwritten' Thank you letter...that was the icing on the cake. Plainfield Automotive is my new place for auto repair.
