Pizza that makes you think you are in Naples!!!! – Seen this featured on Diners, Dives and ,Drive In's on the Food TV channel. Went that night, and so did the rest of San Diego! So long line, however, the Pizza was better than reported. Thin, crispy, great sauce, tasty ingredients. Really great pizza – Saw this place a while back on Diner's, Drive-ins & Dives and just had to try it. Went to San Diego on vacation last week and wasn't dissappointed. I ordered a pizza over the phone because I looked at their website and knew what they had available, so the wait wasn't too long. Saw this place on Diners,Drive ins and Dives, and knew i had to try it. Wonderful pizza. Not the best i've had, but there is nothing wrong with it. If it were cooked in a coal fired oven and made with bufala mozzarella, it could be perfect. I also love basil on pizza, and they didn't have it on their menu. Besides all that, its better than almost anything else you can get in san diego, and how crowded it gets kinda proves that. Good prices also, just remember to bring cash, no credit cards here.
Praise from a NY'er – Being from NY, I am picky about my pizza...and this one is some of the best I have had in San Diego by far! I miss Gotham (used to be on 28th street), but this one comes in a close second!
