Bad Food, Bad Service, A real greasy spoon – It maybe a new look, but this place has gone downhill. Sammy Senior was one of the great ones. It was fun going there and getting good pizza pies, great hero sandwiches and other food for our Yankees tail gate parties. Service was great, friendly family atmosphere. Disgusting and Filthy – Pizza Sam has been in our community for a number of years. Sammy the deceased owner operated a family Pizza Paylor. Food was good, atmosphere friendly. It was fun to take my children or order for a Pizza party for kids. Enters his son, the place is re-modeled and has become filthy with food scraps on the tables from other people, soda stains and used napkins on the floors. Go to Rays Pizza, Dominos or buy from the supermarket instead!!! – Let's look at the facts, the other reviews were written by the new owner, not like his father at all. People need to check the New York City Department of health, Restaurant Inspection Information, as they cite: 1.) Facility not vermin proof. Harborage or conditions conducive to vermin exist. 2.) "This is one of the great ones " – Oh Yea! I grew up on this stuff. I remember when they opened in 1968 ,or around then. It was a instant hit. This is your typical NY style home grown pizza parlor. Take out , small sit down area surrounded by stacks of pizza boxes, and the street right outside the door with all the sounds on NY. Best Pizza Ever – I have been to many pizza places in New York, and many styles (brick, stone, microwave) and this Sam's is by far the best pizza by far hands down. I would go straight to Pizza Sam when I've been away from NY for extended periods because I miss their thin crust and tasty pizza and zepps. Best pizza I've ever had. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended.

10 – Perfect pizza - everytime. Since the 1960's Pizza Sam delivers the best, thin, crispy crust pizza in Queens. Old style attitude and the biggest heros in town. The standard salad has everything - black & green olives, roasted red peppers, and a great classic Italian vinagrette.
