Dr. Lindsay Bacik is such a caring and thorough dermatologist. I came to Pittsburgh Skin for contact dermatitis patch testing after UPMC’s Section Chief of Allergy completely dismissed my concerns about an allergy to gel nail polish that I had developed. Unlike the allergist, Dr. Bacik was very kind and also knowledgeable about gel polish and acrylate allergies. Everytime I go here, they want to 'biopsy' something!!... What happened to all the professionals, who know a necessary biopsy from a non necessary biopsy....?? This has become a money making business with all the cosmetic procedures that have taken priority over needed dermatology care. I have scalp psoriasis??,... I think,?? (self diagnosed) because the person I scheduled with refused to look at my scalp and confirm it!!... I basically was put off!!.. don’t go here!!! especially if you are trying to treat acne. 1, they do not care about your skin how they should. i always walk out feeling like i got nothing accomplished and self conscious. 2, they never cared to really consult my skin and tell me whats really wrong.. they just prescribe you the common ointments/ medication and pray for the best outcome.. not everybody's skin is the same & not everyones skin will magically heal with the same products you give to everyone. i made an exception because i wasn’t able to pick u... read more
