If you care about yourself or your loved ones don't bring them to VMC period. The staff is rude and useless, from the the receptionists to the nurses and physicians. Especially in behavioral health, the very place that compassion is needed the most. Vidant Medical Center is an embarrassment to Greenville and Pitt County.
Where to begin? I was denied treatment today at your pulmonary office because I had my son with me. As a single parent it is not acceptable. I will make other arrangements to find a pulmonary office outside of Vidant. I will also find another Cancer Center and will never step foot on Vidant for another appointment. Shame on you.
RecommendedI brought my daughter, an ECU student, to the ER for severe abdominal pain today. Of course I couldn't go in due to Covid-19. It was scary. I am so thankful for the staff, nurses and doctors who took care of her. They were such a sweet blessing to our family. We deeply appreciate your dedication, love, and heart given to our girl! THANK YOU!!!

Great hospital to work for and to receive care!
My daughter and both of my granddaughters were born there. I work for one of the group practices that are vital to the hospital. I have had many surgeries there and have always felt comfortable for all the staff.
On the late afternoon of March 22, 2020, my wife drove me to the emergency room entrance at the Vidant North Hospital in Roanoke Rapids, NC. My chest pains increased as they sent me to triage, where Nurse Michael Clay looked me over. Then they abated. But a half hour later, WHAM! Cardiac arrest full on! Note to others: have your heart attack in this hospital! I am beyond thankful for my doctor and the staff here at Vidant (Labor and Delivery), they saved both our (mine and new born) lives tonight with intuition and good judgement. I cannot express my gratitude enough.
