The ED in this hospital has to be one of the worst run EDs I have ever seen. it doesn't take three hours to get someone a CAT scan. The nurses and staff have a bad attitude when you ask them questions and they don't check up on patients. I live in Cincinnati and I have been to quite a few hospitals and have never been treated as bad as I have at Vidant.

Do not expect them to listen to you or update charts with relevant information like your loved one being hearing impaired. I will post a shout out to Carlos in the Neuro ICU. He used his personal phone so that I could see/speak to my loved one and explain the when/what/where to him. My loved one had no idea what happened after days, DAYS, of being at Vidant. Had hospital staff listened when I repeatedly told them my loved one was Hard-of-Hearing, maybe they would have spoke louder or wrote things down and my loved one would ... read more

Sent to waiting area that's not open 8;30 am(ASU north), took over an hour to figure out where I'm supposed to be waiting wondering where my wife is. Sitting in waiting room where I was told only one person can wait for my wife, her mother not allowed, while i sit next to a couple waiting with no mask on. the wait time is bad plus the seats are not comfortable over a long period of time smmh they need to do better

They are to slow my wife came in by EMS and then set in waiting room for over 5 hours and was in a bad car accident, in lots of pain and crying
worst ER wait times than any hospital I have ever been in. patient check in people are rude, they don't seem to really care about patients.
Vidant Medical Center is the worst hospital in North Carolina. I will be filing a grievance today with the State of North Carolina!
Nurses should listen and follow thru with information from family members who know and live with patients. When my wife was admitted on September 11, 2019 for Carotid Artery surgery, I along with other family members immediately noticed she had a "Moderate fall risk" sign above her bed. The nurse was told that she was not a moderate fall risk but an EXTREME fall risk and although she was able to walk on her own she had not been able to walk safely without someone beside her f...Continue Reading — feeling frustrated.
Vidant certainly does So Much GOOD. Although THIS is weighing Heavily On my mind: When you call you must listen to over 3 minutes of a recorded message regarding Coronavirus and All we must do to prevent the spread yet they RELEASE PEOPLE W ACTIVE SYMPTOMS AND POSITIVE RESULTS to anyone willing to pick them up once released!!!!😡😡😡🤦♀️Send them home in cabs, Uber; whatever they find while only informing such persons to “ wear a Mask”. The MASK ONLY PROTECTS THE OTHERS FROM OUR GERMS!!!! What about Protecting Such Drivers ... read more
