We went many years ago. The crab cakes, asparagus and desserts were my favorites. It was fabulous back then. I've just referred friends, so we will hear soon of its present status.
Really neat place to visit while in Savannah! We enjoyed the history, staff and food there! Peach cobbler was exceptional!
We obviously went at the wrong time! Missed the buffet. Biscuits were out of this world! Waiter Sam, Great! Sandwich awful!
Driving down from the northeast with my family and we had to stop here when we saw it online. Awesome place with a great atmosphere and even better food! Family friendly and loved the gift shop upstairs and free tour of the old house. Will definitely come back during future trips!
The nolsagia is there but the service is lacking. Came for a tour that was scheduled this evening. We got to the pirate house around 9:30 and were told we could shop and check out the bar for 15 mins before continuing downstairs. Well when trying to checkout the cashier was rude, she walked away to get a manager to open her draw but didn't say a thing to anyone waiting. Wonderful classic Georgia ,,with pirates we enjoyed. dinner
The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious and we had the most outstanding service we have ever had in our life. If you are lucky enough to be seated in Sybil's section, she was phenomenal. We had a party of 13 and we did not have to ask once for a refill. If she heard anything about our meal, needing something extra, she was on it. We didn't have to ask. Great experience!
This place came highly recommended by our hotel however, it was a complete waste of wait time and money not to mention the "pirates" we're very unfriendly. Our children were so excited when they saw the Pirates but the pirates didn't give the children the time of day. To me when children are yelling pirate pirates you should at least acknowledge them. The food was ok but not worth the price. This "kid friendly" restaurant was not that at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone with kids.
The food was delicious. I went in expecting it would be more for the atmosphere, but the food took me by surprise. We had the crab cakes. The meal was one of the best I've had. The history behind this place was fascinating and I enjoyed reading about it while I waited for my meal. We loved seeing the old pirate tunnels in the restaurant too. My only suggestion would be to hire a pirate who is a better actor to get guests more into the pirate spirit. The pirate spirit was definitely lacking in the staff.
