I had a backup sump pump installed in May 2008 by Pipe Dream Plumbing. Since installation the "Pump is defective or not connected" light had come on and the alarm has gone off several times after it self tested. I would say this has happened approximately 5-6 times in the 3.5 years I have had it. They were out on two separate occasions and were able to get the unit working again after messing around with it and resetting. They never did anything more and I trusted their opinion that there was nothing that needed to be done. ... read more
