Do not let the brown, unmarked door fool you. Inside, this old Nederland watering hole is a rare view of mountain history and culture served with some delicious American and Mexican food. Known in town as the PI, it is worth a visit if just to view the rustic decor of wagon wheels, horse saddles and cowboy paraphernalia. On weekends live music booms about the dining room. Non-smoking and smoking sections are available. No children at the bar.

Great Staff and some of the Best Free Live Music you will ever find anywhere!

RecommendedLove the open jam! Played it back around 2000, when I was camping in the mountains!
Cozy rustic place to grab a great meal, shoot pool & play pinball or Pacman. Our server was super friendly & took excellent care of us. Highly recommend their chicken fried steak! Mexican style taco salad was also tasty.
Awesome food and an awesome history.
Love the food at the Pioneer Inn. It’s definitely not a fancy place, but it’s true blue Colorado. The shredded beef burrito is the best I’ve ever had. Tina is an awesome waitress.
I love this place, great service especially bartenders Abi, great food, and the true feel of Nederland... I can even recommend the customers!
We walked into the restaurant and we were immediately turned off. The group of teenagers running the place and doing it poorly. We were not greeted, seated, or even acknowledged. A server brought us menus without saying so much as hello. She never made eye contact. We sat for about 5 minutes with no other contact from anyone. We walked out. The atmosphere was not inviting and they aren’t serving alcohol at this time. Why? Did they lose the liquor license? Weird. I do not recommend.

we apologize for your experience. we don't have any young staffers, but we will look into the schedule for who works saturday evening. we are in the process of renewing our liquor license which expired and have been working on our menu / kitchen. we agree music should be playing, and usually our staff is incredible friendly and sharing the what's what in nederland.
