Do not let the brown, unmarked door fool you. Inside, this old Nederland watering hole is a rare view of mountain history and culture served with some delicious American and Mexican food. Known in town as the PI, it is worth a visit if just to view the rustic decor of wagon wheels, horse saddles and cowboy paraphernalia. On weekends live music booms about the dining room. Non-smoking and smoking sections are available. No children at the bar.

Casual and good The PI is a good locals place where you can get good food with no attitude. The people are friendly and the menu has a nice variety of good items.
Good Breakfast This a a good place to grab breakfast as you're heading into the mountains in the morning. They also serve lunch and dinner.
This place is a gem, friendly service and fun! It’s a no frills, mountain man style bar, and I absolutely loved it!

Visiting right now, from Kansas City ( go Chiefs). Drove down from Estes Park this morning. The aspen trees are on fire!!! Spectacular!
I first went there in 1971. A lot has changed. It was a great place for local musicians to jam. In those days, The Caribou Ranch was “local.” It’s still a great place to hang out. I was there last July 2018.
I was visiting about a week ago...and enjoyed a crisp cool refreshing salad...the lettuce was crunchy and the avacodo was ripe....I also had fried shrimp on the side..yummy...I believe Cindy was our server...she was friendly and speedy with getting the order out. thank you...for the delicious food and great service. 💙⚡❤🤩
