Called from another pharmacy to transfer a prescription for a sick child. No one answered, had to leave a message. An hour later no return call. UPMC can pay to have their emblem on countless buildings, billboards and TV ads telling us how great they are but can't pay enough people to answer the phone or call a pharmacy back to get a kid a prescription they need in a timely manner.

This pharmacy is atrocious. They do not communicate. They do not tell you when your prescriptions are ready. Then when you don't arrange pickup or delivery (because you were never notified they were ready)- they will reshelve them. They do not return phone calls or voice mails. Atrocious. I have never had such a bad experience with a pharmacy in my entire life. I am beyond disgusted.

This pharmacy is terrible. Every person that goes to pick up a prescription is told to wait a minimum of one hour to pick it up regardless of when it was ordered. I have been a retail pharmacist at a busy chain pharmacy for a long time. It does not take that long to fill a prescription for a sick child that is getting discharged from the hospital. They told me it would take a half hour to fill a prescription for ear drops so I left and came back (an hour and a half later) and it wasn't filled. Then 20 minutes later they told me they didn't have the medicine in stock. They offered eye drops to put in the ears instead for $140.
