Come here every time I come to Sanibel. Must go at least once or twice per trip.
The taco salad sundaes are #1.
This was our first trip to Sanibel and to Pinocchios. I had the Purple Cow and the dirty sand Dollar. Hubby had strawberry. it was all DELICIOUS!! I plan to return tomorrow!

For 6 years my wife and I have enjoyed Pinocchio’s ice cream on our annual visits. We even went directly there after being married on the island 3 years ago. We have loved Dirty Sand Dollar. It was our favorite flavor anywhere. Imagine our disappointment this year when we were handed boring, average vanilla ice cream with a few small pieces of chocolate here and there. Pinocchio’s is under new management with a new name - Sanibel’s Best Homemade Ice cream - same location. Wonderful ice cream! Not to be missed while on Sanibel.
No warning they are going to charge you $0.65 to use your credit card. No sign, no telling you. Just suddenly $7.50 for a tiny dish of ice cream. This once loyal customer won’t be back with deceptive business practices like that. I had cash in my wallet and would have used it if I’d known. A 10% surcharge far exceeds the cc company fees. And at $6.50 for a scoop of ice cream anyway. Keep it next time, the time after that, and the time after that
