For over 50 years, Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse has served the good people of Tucson. Locally owned and operated, Pinnacle Peak takes great pride in serving real Western food in an authentic Old West atmosphere. Opening in 1962, Pinnacle Peak became famous for good food and good fun. Guests were encouraged to relax and enjoy a hearty steak dinner. The "No Ties Allowed" policy has always been a part of the Pinnacle Peak mentality. On a fateful night in 1971, a fire roared through the property and completely destroyed Pinnacle Pea... read more

It used to be good I was a customer for 17 years but the last four times had a small, tough, flavorless steak. I am VERY sorry to say I will not go there again until I hear it changes back. They used to have excellent tender, flavorful, thick steaks. They no longer list the steak size on their menu. The Big Cowboy 32 oz. steak is now about 16 oz. I wish they had just increased the prices rather than reduce quality. If you do not believe me, ask yourself why you do not have to wait in line for an hour anymore.
Tucson's family favorite If you haven't been to Pinnacle Peak, then go!
Pinnacle Peak What an adventure it is to go to Pinnacle Peak, which sits in Trail Dust Town! If you wear a tie, be prepared to lose it! As you go into this old-time, western restaurant, you will see that the ceilings are covered with ties that people have willingly.. or not.. had cut off. If you would like a drink while you're waiting to be seated, you can go into their little saloon off to the side. You can see the cooks BBQing the meat, this also makes it so it smells wonderful in there. It is a dimly lit restaurant and ha... read more
Just Not Impressed From all of the other reviews that I've read about Pinnacle Peak, I've learned that it is some sort of theme restaurant. Needless to say. I didn't know this when my husband and I decided to dine here. We were on vacation and looking for a good steak meal.
Not worth the price I wanted to take my husband someplace good and fun for his birthday so we decided on Pinnacle Peak. Nestled back in Trail Dust Town off of Tanque Verde and Kolb area, we thought this would be great for the kids to enjoy as well as us. We arrived just after opening hours so there were not many guests. Our waitress took our drink orders... then went and took two other tables. Instead of bringing our drinks out first, she brought all 3 tables at the same time. The same process was done with our dinner salads... read more
Great Place I love this place. It has the best ribs ever. Great place to take visitors since it is very touristy. Go, have a few drinks before dinner, then after dinner you can walk it off but looking at all the shops. Fun place.
Mesquite grilled Steaks -yummmmm I've been going to Pinnacle Peak since the early 90's; and you can't do better than steak cooked over a roaring mesquite fire. The decor is pure cowboy, not too cheap and probably cheesy to most, but it's fun for families. For about $ 20.00 you can get a 2 pound steak cowboy cut; a salad and a bowl of ranch beans with jalapenos. Nothing fancy-but they must be still doing something right after all these years as there's always 100 or so people waiting to get in at opening time. Just make sure ... read more
Pinnacle Peak Located in the touristy town of Trail Dust, this steakhouse offers so-so food for a reasonable, but plenty of atmosphere to make it worth the trip. You get a full taste of the Wild West, complete with a gun show outside the resturaunt and a train that circles the park. Great place to take the family!
ok, so it's a little touristy... But, if you have kids and can't choke down another cardboard pizza from one of the kiddy places, this is a great alternative. They have a train ride, a carousel, and you can generally find someone inside making balloon hats. And then there is of course the steaks... So everyone walks away happy and with full tummies...
