Pinnacle Ortho waited until 4 business days prior to a surgery to contact me to get information and clearance for a procedure I scheduled over 4 weeks ago. I ended up paying an additional medical copayment, burned fuel unnecessarily, rescheduled an important appointment this morning and, risked getting sick going into the doctors office for a condition she's not treating me for. I had surgery on my thumb. They have a "90 day post surgery office visit" policy where the visits are "no charge". However, due to the recurring stitch protruding from my thumb,due to no fault of my own, I had to return to the doctor AFTER the 90 day period (actually 11 days after the 90 day period ended). They charged me for the visit (over $100) and after several attempts to explain why I should not have to pay since this visit was due to the surgery they performed I still had to pay.
