Pine Mansions III at 5837 Dunn St in Niagara Falls has bed bugs. Pinewood Niagara Builders hires a bed bug exterminator then makes these old people pay thousands of dollars when the Landlord Tenant Act (Residential Tenancies Act, 2006, S.O. 2006, c. 17) clearly states it is the landlords responsibility. They need to contact the LANDLORD & TENANT BOARD of TRIBUNALS ONTARIO - Form T6 "Tenant Application about Maintenance". They prefer submissions through their portal.
DON'T buy Pinewood!!! I bought a home from Pinewood pre pandemic--November 2018 to close in March 2019. I was excited. The pandemic hit. Everything changed. I couldn't get a mortgage despite a preapproval. Pinewood had clause where I was charged $500 for every day that I didn't close ( including weekends). I lost my lifesavings. The builder advised that pandemic or not—everything stands! unbeknownst to me, the builder sold me the property from another buyer—same situation. Moral of the story, DON’T BUY PINEWOOD!
