All of the staff members were warm and friendly. Dr. Walker was very informative and took his time to listen and explain why he wanted more testing. Highly recommend
Take 1:Grant Bischof--this man refused to see me after I was late 10 minutes. he had gone on to see another patient and refused to see me, telling the receptionist that I should just reschedule! It takes quite a bit for me to go out and about as I am very dependent on others, I'm in a mobilize chair, someone has to drive me to and from, etc. refusing to even squeeze me in because lunch was less than half an hour away, I left without being seen after a year and a half of not seem on neurologist. I was pleased with Pinehurst Neurology…until today. I made an appointment a year ago, drove and hour and a half to get there, was delayed 5 minutes because of a storm only to be rudely informed by the person at the front desk that the doctor would not see me because I was late. I called on the way to let them know and they sent me to a voice mail box. When I arrived I stood in line 5 minutes because of the slow receptionist only to be told I would not be helped. I saw Katie Baeza PA-C for migraines and change in seizures. I informed her that I struggled with injections and had a rash at the site of my last two injections and was likely allergic. She informed me that I just needed to try the injection a third time, in a third spot and would not move away from injections despite my request. My reaction to the medication was worse with each injection. In addition to this, I was having much worse than normal migraines with a change in seizure habits. I have a history of brain cysts. Pinehurst Neurology offers excellent medical care, and I would recommend them to others. The neurologists and the rest of the staff are amazing and super helpful, providing a supportive and efficient experience. However, the front desk woman consistently displays an unpleasant demeanor. This has been my experience during every visit and phone call. Rather than clearly communicating what is needed, she tends to make "smart comments," which creates an unwelcoming first impression.
