I loved the food, especially the Pinecrest omelette . Service was good. Expect to wait in line outside, but it's totally worth it. Refill coffee was tasty and no qualms about 3 cups! I visited 3 times during my holiday, I will visit again when I go back.
Even though the waitress wrote down my order, I was asked three times to confirm how I wanted my eggs. I was delivered someone else's order that was placed before mine. Staff tried to serve me the other customer's juice as well. Worst was the lady at the check out counter trying to figure out what to charge me and asked what I ordered (she didn't know either!). Ended up paying like $13 for coffee, eggs, bread, hash and toast. Was not memorable. Wish I went to Starbucks instead.
I've been coming here on business trips for 15 years and the Pinecrest is always on the schedule. The folks are so nice and the Beverly Hills omelet is awesome!!!!
The Best food in SF
The most amazing service ever. The cooks were very efficient. The staff worked well together. They kept smiles on their faces even as busy as they were. My food was well prepared and steamy hot when it came out. I travel to SF a lot and I will be back with family and friends.

I love this place. I frequent the diner at least once a month. The vegetarian omelette is the best.
We went there on my wife's birthday for breakfast. People in line were grabbing tables in order as they came available. I was next in line when I noticed a 2 top open up which I promptly grabbed for my wife and I. The bus boy came to the table and asked if we were finished (keep in mind everyone was grabbing tables before they were cleaned off). I told him the plates were from the previous guests.
