The rice was mushy they mac salad was bland, the garlic chicken was ok at best, place kind of takes advantage of the fact theyre the only Hawaiian food spot in the whole city so the bar is set pretty low, but the price was high. I promise I'm not being overly critical, the food just felt very low effort for what youre paying
This was my first visit but won't be the last. I ordered the Ahi Poke Bowl and Kaluha Pig nachos. Holy moly! The first bite to the last of nachos had me groaning with pleasure. I had to slow myself down from bolting them, they were so good! Now who's the Kaluha Pig? Lol. They come with a choice of chips or fried won ton wrappers, the wrappers were delightfully crispy, pick them! I ate about a third and was full but had to try the poke. Really love the dynamite chicken, it’s only $13 for the meal including rice, greens and mac salad. You get three sides and sometimes I go healthier and get two greens sides. The Mac salad is good, reminds me of banana hut a bit. Nice music, reggae today. Large servings if you dine in, smaller if you get to go. They used to not charge for subbing rice with extra mac salad or greens but today they did. Inexpensive drinks about half the price of the other places so budget friendly
