Our Pine Shadows dog was Ole of Woodbridge - Son of Hawkeye. Ole was the BEST field and home dog ever. His health was excellent, and his drive for the birds amazing. He was still going out until a year before his death. We tried another breeder after, and it was a huge mistake. Putting together a fund now for a new Springer in the spring as our boys miss Ole and want another as they get toward hunting age. I think the tag that the spouse put on his Memorial Rock says it best "The Best Friend Ever"

I have had five Pine Shadows dogs, my first was Roo in 1985, thought I would never again see such a fine dog. Every one since has been just as good, a little different but excellent dogs. Broke my heart to lose each one, but great times and great hunts to remember each helps. My current dog just turned eleven, a little grey in the face, like his owner, slowing down some, time to look for a dog he can mentor to our hunting pursuits.
