"Christian Care" can't be Christian if the premise is flawed. I've seized, hallucinated, and tried to kill myself many times when I was young because of the psychiatrics that were prescribed to me I forgot who my own mother was and the memory of her tear stricken face when I asked her "are you my mommy?" will never leave me. I came to Pine Rest seeking help for anxiety and depression, hoping for comprehensive, compassionate support. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing and frustrating from the start. I had used Pine Rest for years without issue—until recently. I scheduled an appointment as usual, but before my scheduled time, Pine Rest called and left a voicemail stating my provider would no longer be available for the scheduled time. No big deal. However, about a week later, I received a letter stating I was being discharged for “missed appointments”—even though they were the ones who canceled on me.
