A big shout out to the crew at the PSJ store! I had been wrestling with water clarity for months. I even switched Pinch a Penny stores. Today - after less than 2 months with this store - I can see from END TO END in my pool (35’). My sand filter sprung a leak. I called this Pinch a Penny to set up an appointment for repair. I spoke with Maria and she literally took care of everything. She found the filter was still under warranty, emailed an estimate for the necessary repair, and scheduled a service appointment for subsequent replacement. I want to commend Maria for the great job she did in this endeavor. She's a real asset to Pinch a Penny. Own a pool? Do not trust Pinch a Penny in Lady Lake. They will lie to you and only want you to buy buy buy. So bye bye Pinch a Penny. You should be ashamed Adam. One star because could not review without one.
I have been using this Pinch A penny for the last 2 years now. The service I have received from this location has been nothing short of great. I had an issue with my pool pump on a Sunday and the owner of the Merritt Island store came to my house and diagnosed the pump. He even informed me that the pump will last longer and that it could last a lot longer. Whatever happened in that last review I find VERY HSRD TO BELIEVE. These people I have used for 30 years and they are ethically above reproach. I have used them for repairs to my spa and pool, and for chemicals. They are wonderful people, too, not just competent. I recommend them very highly.
Used company for 5 years. In the last few months, they rarely come to service my pool for weekly check. Called many times last 3 weeks for service and was told person was at my home and left note. (NEVER) I disputed because I have a video system on my pool + pool pics. Was asked who should they believe the service guy or me? Guy finally came on Thursday, left, the filter top blow off, water everywhere, pool water down 5 inches, pool pump sucking air and drain full of 2" of debris. Called to ask for service asap. They have been one of the best locations for any related to pool and spas. They have a wonderful selection of hot tubs.
We live on Miami Beach and drive all the way south bcs this store is so special. Family run and they're both honest and friendly. Will recommend the right item, even when it's less expensive and let us know when supplies are going on sale. You don't get that very often!
