Founded in 2003, Pima Medical Institute’s Las Vegas campus has been proudly serving Las Vegas and building strong relationships with local hospitals and animal shelters for nearly 20 years. With a goal of bettering the community and providing students with hands-on opportunities in dental, medical and veterinary fields, the campus offers five certificate and six associate degree programs.

Ms. Wheeler was very patient, helpful, and determined with helping me get into a great externship site and helped with making the transition into my site as seamless as possible. Ms. Adams was also amazing with navigating any questions or concerns i may have had, both of them are wonderful!

This review has been years in the making. I had the pleasure of attending the Veterinary Assistant and Veterinary Technician programs at this location. Almost ten years later and I am still kicking. If I had not been given the guidance that these teachers provided me, I would not be where I am today! If anyone is thinking of going into the veterinary field as an assistant or technician, look around and make sure you are finding the program that is best for you! Making sure you are ready is the first step to success!
Pima is a great place to start if you are planning on entering the healthcare field. They offer convenient class times such as mornings, afternoons, and hybrid nights (online). I am currently attending and it is great if you are planning on changing career fields or if you are just starting.
One of the best choices I've made! My sister graduated previously, and I decided to make the move to follow her as she has stated that she loves her job. Pharmacy has been a pleasant and informative program and it definitely fits my demand for a purpose in my work.
