Went to spend the evening last night at the Pilot House and catch some good music. Instead, there was a fellow with a pretty good voice basically doing karaoke. There are plenty of great musicians in Key Largo that don't try to shove pre-recorded music down peoples ears. Luke Sommer Glen, Ted Hyde, Alan Trusdel, Sweetwater, and Megawatt Harry just to name a few. Come on Pilot House. You can do better than that. Real Music for Real People.
Creamy crab soup was not so creamy. Was my favorite. And had to return a corona cuz it was hot. Nasty. Plus mixed seafood platter was awful, all seafood dry. Best part of dinner was a new key lime dressing on the house salad. We all 3 hated our dinner.. Yes and we are locals we have gone before...Never again.. ..
The keys are our home away from home, yet we have never stopped to eat at Pilot House on our way in, until this weekend, and so glad we did! Great atmosphere, great service, great drinks and awesome food!!! Probably the best blackened shrimp tacos I've ever had!! Their prices are reasonable too, not like the touristy, way-overpriced, bar food restaurants. We'll be back soon for sure!! ��
