My husband, my best friend and I hiked Pike's Peak on 7/21. It was one of the most mentally and physically challenging things I've ever done. Nearly 10 hours of hiking, but we made it to the summit! It was an experience that I'll always treasure, but I'm definitely never doing it again. LOL. However, if you're determined and up for a challenge then I highly recommend it. The feeling you get once you make it to the top is indescribable.
It was a little cloudy but still awesome!! Road is very well maintained and donuts at the top are a must!! Bringing warmer clothes is also a good idea even for the end of July as it was only 39 degrees when we reached the summit.
Such an amazing drive, and beautiful scenery!! I would recommend visiting for both children and adults of all ages! �
Very crowded tourist trap. Still had fun, but the crowds kept it from 5 stars
