My father was admitted to PIH in December 2021 and shortly after passed away. When we went to the hospital to retrieve his wedding ring and personal items, we were told they would have to check with the employees to see if they remember what they did with them. Why is there not a procedure in place to secure valuable items that are removed from patients?
