Pig & Khao N Khao

4.4

About this business

The menu at Pig and Khao is tribute to its owner/chef, Leah Cohen's Asian heritage. Serving a brilliant range of Vietnamese, Filipino, and Thai fusion cuisine, the restaurant doesn't waste much time on displaying authentic, hard-to-pronounce traditional names. Thick with crispy, spicy meats of a great variety, everything that comes out of this here kitchen is delectable to say the least. Drop in if you're hankering for a great Asian meal.

Great vibe. Servers are friendly and attentive. Papaya salad over coconut rice is an amazing combo. Pork belly adobo is delicious. Halo-Halo desert was a refreshing end to a fantastic meal.

Delicious duck, coconut rice, & duck fat rice. Duck was perfectly cooked, seasoned with the perfect balance between lightness/freshness & richness. No knife provided or needed it was so tender. Duck fat rice cake was crispy on the outside, saucy on the inside & simply mind blowing. Cocktails awesome, beats bumpin, & the servers were chill but attentive. One called me boo-boo & I liked it. Another restaurant by Ben and Leah, in which they refuse to pay their vendors. There are so many other great places in NYC to try! Don't patronize this place...need a recommendation for somewhere who actually pays their vendors AND has MUCH better food? Ask me!

My second time here, and I sure wish there was something like this in Coastal VA. Excellent rendition of Filipino cuisine.

Amazing food and service. One thing I would change are the tables. For a restaurant that serves chopsticks the big gaps in the table made two sets of my chopsticks fall on the ground.

Just a great experience! My cocktail, the “Lower East Side” was a fine and generous Manhattan prepared with care. The Sizzling Sisig offered a unique and flavorful experience. This dish was new to us and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The coconut rice is perfect with the spicy Thai mushroom salad. So lovely. Pork jowls beautifully done with brussel sprouts. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and visit again soon!😎
