As a lifelong Miami local and former Bayside employee, I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Pier 5. My friends and I were standing in the public walkway enjoying the live music after purchasing drinks from Fat Tuesday. We weren't using Pier 5's tables or interfering with their business when an employee rudely told us we had to leave the area. This is the worst experience, after eating with my parents in this restaurant who are seniors, we wanted to seat and enjoy the view, those two employees dumped water were we stop for a moment with my parents and they did not care ...we were very surprised with this situation...I hope the management fix this behavior for future tourists.
While exploring Bayside Marketplace, I took a moment to admire the setup at Pier 5. Even though I didn't stop to eat this time, the location is absolutely stunning! The outdoor bar area is beautifully designed with a tropical flair, and the views of the marina and the large cruise ships in the distance are some of the best in Miami. It has such a vibrant, open-air energy that makes it a perfect place to relax and people-watch by the water. Definitely worth stopping by just to enjoy the breeze and the scenery!
