RecommendedI bought my 2014 579 in December of 2018 and since then I haven’t been able to keep it out of the shop due to after treatment issues (16th time in 16 months) . Thank God for warranty cuz all these shop visits are expensive (motels/downtime etc) I stopped at Piedmont Peterbilt on Wednesday night (2/26/20) and they got me into the shop Thursday morning . service department needs lots of improvement. lots of standing around doing nothing. took all day to do a three hour job. management was nice and said the right things when I finally got upset, but still charged me for the ineptness of the employees. About twice what I was originally told. lesson learned.
