Update: Piedmont Periodontics was very shady during the pandemic and seemed to be particularly selective of only clients who were willing to pay fees for services upfront. I had been a client of Bartruff's for over 10 years, paid for numerous services he performed, and prior to 2021 did not have outstanding/overdue balances. Dr. Bartruff and his staff are amazing. If you are in need of periodontal work, you should look no further. I had to have some serious work done on my front gums as well as an implant put in. I dreaded having to have the procedure but Dr. Bartruff and his folks made it as painless as possible. Highly recommend!

Avoid this practice if you can. I had a consultation for a graft with Dr Bartruff who insisted that I needed anesthesia for my procedure. I expressed concern with that since I was still nursing; he said I should just ‘pump and dump, no big deal.’ I ended up having my graft completed successfully by another, reputable periodontist in Atlanta who only used lidocaine to numb the appropriate areas for the procedure and said anesthesia is definitely not needed if the patient prefers that route.
