Piedmont strikes again, nice people, awful business. The good: the staff is knowledgeable and courteous, and wait times were reasonable. The bad: the billing is predatory. I am a cash payer so I go for my CT scan and I request for the full service amount. I asked numerous times if this was for everything, yes is the answer. I pay and have the procedure. The actual imaging seems to have been thorough and of good quality, so I'm grateful for that, but the experience is not usually the most pleasant or convenient Wait time is an issue. They'll have you arrive 20 minutes early to sit around 20 minutes past your appointment time. Currently at 30 minutes of waiting for a preliminary review of my images before I'm allowed to go. My aunt was scheduled for a PET scan at this location after her nursing home sent her to Rockdale where the procedure could not be done because she required a lift and the department was in a mobile unit. She could only be seen in Atlanta or Athens. God works things out because the staff in Nuclear Med went above and beyond to care for my aunt. I came here for a pet scan. I was promptly greeted by a friendly smile when I checked in for my appointment. I was called back on time by TJ. She did my IV and injection. She was kind, understood my being anxious. Took excellent care of me. Warm blankets, I was kept comfortable. Only complaint was the $12 charge for parking a little over two hours.
This place is downright awful - please don’t bother coming here - I took time off work not once but twice to take my elderly mom to get an x ray done - when we went on Tuesday (12/03)….the front desk woman said that they were “short staffed” and that no one could see us that morning - so we wasted our time going all the way down there for nothing - we came back this morning and got there around 10:30 - we sat there for over an hour before anyone called for my mother - I had to help her get off the chair (when she was clearly... read more
