Established in 2006, Piccino started off as a humble cafe-style restaurant serving a limited choice ofItalian specialties. After turning into a popular hangout in just a short period of time, the restaurant moved to its current spacious location to accommodate the growing number of loyals. We've always had such amazing food and service, but last night on our fun double date (with reservation), were seated 25 minutes late (checked in 10 minutes early) , then had unsmiling service and repeated kitchen closing soon reminders. Blah smoked trout salad, soggy squash and blobbed ricotta pizza. Fried Brussels were awesome however. Maybe an off night, but we didn't feel the love we've been accustomed to aren't in a rush to return with so many amazing places to eat in the bay area.

Sorry Tres Jimenez Fontaine, I just saw your response. I'll be in touch shortly!
The food was creative, fresh and delicious. The ambiance was lively yet conducive to conversation. The service was perfect -- informed, attentive (but not overbearing) and convivial. Yayyyy!!!!! A new addition to my "go to" list. :D
Fabulous food, nice and interesting wine list, waiters who understand wine pairing and recommend well. But when confronted with a slight excess of delicious (really!) tomato sauce, we asked for bread and got two tiny slices. For two of us, with different and interesting sauces to eat. It felt like a Portlandia sketch.
