Craig was a calming person to talk to once he returned my voicemail inquiry. He made me feel at ease and asked me questions and told me how he can help. After the first appointment I felt his genuine care and concern for my wellbeing. He answered my questions and was supportive during my own uncertainty in my care. Craig is clearly experienced and educated in what he's doing. I'm more likely the odd man, but I felt minimized, unheard, and after a specific session, just completely destroyed. I understand the intent is to rewire the brain, overcome, and improve controls over one's thoughts with CBT. In general, I feel it's helpful. What doesn't feel helpful is when I share very traumatic events in my childhood and a therapist attempts to sum it up in one word. I have been through many therapists, nurses, doctors, rehab, etc. no one in real life has ever come close to helping me the way Craig did. I never felt anything with dealing with my trauma until I tried brainspotting. I am definitely open to trying it again. I found that maybe I am the actual problem bc I often find "excuses" to stop therapy to avoid the real work. He is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. Physis Counseling has been a great place to receive counseling. I also used the Brainspotting service which helped me tremendously. I highly recommend to anyone.
