Went to try and get tested for Covid. Was turned away over their $250 dollar cost for the test. Must be paid up front and they were rude. While I was there trying to fill out info there were 6 other people who had to leave for the same reason. All within less than a 5 minute time frame. Amazes me how they advertise how they are such an amazing facility but turning people away for a simple test during a pandemic. If other places are doing it for free why is your fee $250?!?!? Due to the influx of COVID -19 cases in the Coastal Bend, our ERs are experiencing longer than normal wait times. We are treating patients with acute medical emergencies as a priority whether COVID or not. There is no co-pay if you have insurance, we accept all major insurances. Again, our apologizes and with the increase COVID- 19 cases our phones are ringing non-stop, we are trying to keep up with the demand.
Very unprofessional didn't even finish getting hand sanitizer when was yelled at from the front desk to the door. Covid 19 has their staff all rude. They should realize we are people with medical concerns not related to Covid 19 and should treat with respect and kindness not like cattle.
They turned me away because my headache, body fatigue, and103.4 fever was non life threatening symptoms, after the receptionist on the phone clearly told me they would be able to do the Covid-19 screening on me prior to going over there.
Recommendedeveryone was really nice and professional. I asked a few questions and felt they were answered. I went for Covid-19 testing on 6/21. Everything was done from my car. They had my results in 30 minutes. Total time there was 2 hours but compared to other wait times for rapid testing I didn't think it was too bad.
The rudest nurse I’ve ever talked to on the phone. Wish I would have gotten her name.
