Appointment Mistakes Systematic of Larger Care Issues? I've just started with Physicians for Women and in trying to coordinate appointments for both my daughter and myself, the office scheduler quoted incorrect availability and on another occasion, mistakenly had my daughter down for my appointment. It's difficult to get a time at all, the office does indeed have a factory atmosphere, and nurses do not seem very compassionate. Our doctor was nice, though.

I feel good to recommend... Doctors and staffs are friendly , good and prompt care is taken at the center. The only problem would be taking first appoitment but once you are in , they will take care of rest of the appointments.

Dr LaMonica - 3 cheers!!! I cannot say enough Dr. Lamonica. I have been going to Physicians for Woman for over 10 years now and have a very unique condition. Dr. Lamonica always remembers exactly what is going on with my health and with my life. He takes the time to talk with me. He is always concerned about my health and well being. It seems the staff and nurses do change a lot but Dr. LaMonica is the most dedicated and caring doctor I have ever met!

Their motto: When in doubt take meds- Not holistic, a disappointment I initially had a very nice experience, in which another MD in the practice (BM) stayed 2 hours late on her shift in the hospital (rather than give me to an intern) to perform a D&C for me after my miscarriage - after I had waited in the hospital for almost 7 hours for my appointment. It was the right thing to do, and it was very nice.

disappointed I agree with "factory-like" service". I am glad expectant mothers think they are great, but wait, when your past your childbearing years, they are cold and treat you like your wasting their time.

Dr LaMonica I moved from NY to the Danbury area, and needed to find a GYN/OBG. Dr LaMonica came highly recommended from several nurses. He gave me outstanding prenatal care. It was a pregnancy complicated by bleeding at various times throughout the nine months. He always retuned my calls and patiently answered my questions. Imminent questions were returned immediately, others later in the day. It takes a special MD to stay late in the evening to phone his patients. He delivered my third child, a beautiful healthy baby girl a... read more

Factory-like service, too busy for personal service I had my first child with Physicians for Women and am now pregnant with my second. While my doctor, Dr. Gilotti, is wonderful, unfortunately, the office itself is so busy there are long hold times to speak to anyone, as a working mom appointments in the morning, evening or weekends are very difficult to get, nurses take all day to return a call regarding a simple question and you cannot speak to a doctor regarding a problem unless your problem is deemed an emergency. I fina... read more

Excellent I recently had my baby this year and the staff at Thameside was superb in their care of me. They were always very caring and answered all my questions without making me feel silly for asking them. They were always very concerned about my concerns. It was a wonderful experience.

great at what they do Thameside has wonderful and very caring doctors. I had to call at about 1 am one night, and the Dr. on call who called me back made me feel like it was 9am and that I hadn't just woken him up from a deep sleep (which was obvious in his voice). Also were all great and followed up with me at home after tests and made me feel really relaxed at my delivery. I would recommend them.
