Phoenicia Bakery It's a little gritty but the staff is friendly and the food is good. Service is very fast though it's sometimes hard to park at lunch time. There are a couple places to sit outside which is nice. Dessert is excellent.
Middle Eastern Food done right A great place to get Middle Eastern food on the South Side of Austin. The cheese bread is out of this world, but try one of their signature deli sandwiches. It will leave you wanting more. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but it's worth the wait in the parking lot on inside the deli.
Austin's one-stop shopping for Mediterranean food THE place in Austin for pita, hummus, olives and other Mediterranean delights. Everyone in my family LOVES Phoenicia bakery, including the ones who drive in from Houston every once in a while, just to pick up some of their offerings.
RecommendedI've been going here since I was a small child for mortadella (sp??), gyros, feta, pickles, halawa, bread, & other seasonings & rice. I highly recommend trying them! Everything I've gotten there, I've loved.
many varieties of flat bread, very inexpensive, zatar is very good too
